WELCOME BACK TO THE SANDMEN COLLECTIVE
Entering this immersive experience, you’ll be transported to 2044 Los Angeles, where a hot new underground form of entertainment is popping up in secret locations throughout the city: dreamscape immersion.
Over time, MRI technology has progressed to the point where we can observe the dreams of others, thanks to SLEEPWALKR Industries and their patented tech. It’s been a revolution within the medical field, especially in treating issues related to mental health, allowing therapists to dive into their patients' subconscious firsthand. The visual results generated are good enough, but the audio developed is something else entirely.
While not available on the public market, internal spies within the medical community have used their intel to get their hands on a few select SLEEPWALKR machines, selling them off to clandestine entertainment troupes known by a hush-hush few as "dream exhibitors." Everyday folks pay to enter these secret exhibition spaces and plunge deep into the dreamscapes of others, providing them with a psychedelic and otherworldly somnaural experience. Dreamers come in from all walks of life to link up and showcase their minds to audiences– some engage for the money, some do it for an exhibitionist thrill, and in the case of one of your dreamers, some may merely need a high-quality sedative to finally get some beauty sleep. But no matter what’s led them here, these folks have interesting minds worth exploring through the power of dreams.

TO OUR RETURNING GUESTS
For those of you who partook in the first edition of our SLEEPWALKR attraction in January 2023, we are SO excited for you to see what 2.0 has in store. This is a 100% all-new show, at a new location, with three new dreams, new story elements, and a plethora of new effects. As the Sandmen crank up the intensity levels of the SLEEPWALKR machine, we’re cranking up the intensity of the experience. The scary parts are scarier, the funny elements are funnier, and the sheer level of immersion is a huge upgrade from the first installation. Despite how tricky it’s been, we’ve been keeping lots of secrets, as there are loads of new surprises in store. Our first show was a test run of sorts, and now we’re taking everything you loved about the original to the next level. Plus, all three dreams are included with a single ticket, and are all part of one full show experience!
NOTE: Not unlike the original show, guests will also experience various intimately tailored sensory effects, including but not limited to: flashing lights, smoke, water, scents, dramatic temperature changes, loud noises, and brief moments of physical contact with performers. Considering all of the above, guests must sign a waiver before taking part in the attraction.
AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE
You find yourself at an abandoned warehouse once owned by a decades-long-gone electronics company. Not only is this where The Sandmen Collective is exhibiting tonight– it’s also become their personal workshop. You see, the Sandmen are hard at work developing the most enticing new modifications and enhancements for their SLEEPWALKR machine, set on pushing the limits of the show’s realism and intensity to proudly hold their title as LA’s #1 dream exhibitor.
Following your arrival, a Sandmen operative will lead you into the exhibition bay, presenting you with a sleep mask and a pair of headphones. You take a seat, the dreamer enters the machine, and the room goes dark.
This is where your experience truly begins, as a 50-minute-long show envelops you within the abstract, experimental storytelling of three dreamers’ subconscious minds via expertly mixed 360-degree immersive audio and live sensory effects– all the while being trapped in complete darkness. Will the next dream be ethereal, emotional, horrifying, hilarious? Prepare for twists and turns aplenty. This is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced in your reality.
THE CREATORS
Co-creators Sam Kellman and David Coleman already have many years of experience in the immersive entertainment space despite being in their twenties– with Sam operating The Opechee Haunt for over a decade, creating experiences such as TOUR, The Donnie Darko Experience, and Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree, having most recently creative directed the immersive theatre show Within Our Walls (2022), as well as the first edition of SLEEPWALKR (2023) under Inside the Box Productions. David has previously worked with The Opechee Haunt and Twisted in creating numerous haunted attractions, branching off into his own Exquisite Corpse Horror Media in recent years, producing installations such as 2022’s Redwater. He’s since collaborated with Inside the Box on 2023’s SLEEPWALKR experience. With backgrounds in writing, filmmaking, production design, and audio production, Sam and David bring lots of expertise to the table, providing their live experiences with a memorable cinematic edge.
DREAM #1 - THE SUPERSTORE
Happy Holidays! It’s an excessively violent Black Friday at Q-Mart, and all Parker wants to do is clock in for their shift. Unfortunately, these particular customers are proving to be QUITE difficult, and workaholic Parker has got to keep this job by any means necessary.
DREAM #2 - THE BATTLE
Joe lands smack dab in the middle of an unknown war. Where is he? Which side is he on? What are the sides to begin with? Well, not much time to think as it seems his submarine suffered quite the blow, and this leak is only getting worse…
DREAM #3 - THE FOREST
Chloe’s trapped in a dark, never-ending wood, and she swears that someone– or something– is deliberately stalking her. If that already wasn’t concerning enough, she’s been having this dream over and over again– and each time, the figure gets just a little… bit… closer to reaching her.
SLEEPWALKR 2.0 runs Thursdays through Sundays during the second and third weeks of October 2024.

We're located in Los Angeles, CA, more specifically within the Echo Park area. This is a super central and accessible part of town, and our location is easily reachable from both the 110 and 101 freeways.
We put on five 50-minute shows a night, each beginning on the hour.

If you're having trouble finding the entrance to The Sandmen Collective, make sure to make a right off of W 2nd St and onto Emerald St, where you'll curve around towards the BACK of the building.
